Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms of Use”) carefully before using the First Nations Jobs Canada website (the “Service”), operated by First Nations Jobs Canada (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
Your access to and use of the Service is conditional upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, job seekers, employers, recruiters, and others who access or use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your province or territory, to use the Service.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement.
Use of the Service
The Service is intended to facilitate job postings, job searches, and employment-related communications between employers and job seekers.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms, all applicable laws, and applicable human rights legislation.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:
- Posting, submitting, or transmitting content that is false, misleading, discriminatory, harassing, abusive, defamatory, or unlawful
- Posting job listings or applications that violate human rights, employment, or privacy laws
- Discriminating against individuals on the basis of race, Indigenous identity, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, age, or any other protected ground
- Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation
- Using the Service for spamming, scraping, data harvesting, or automated access without authorization
- Attempting to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the security or functionality of the Service
We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access for violations of this section.
Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in suspension or termination of your account.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account, whether authorized or unauthorized.
You agree not to disclose your password to any third party and to notify us immediately of any security breach or unauthorized use of your account.
Job Seekers
If you are a job seeker, you acknowledge that:
- Information you submit (including resumes and applications) may be shared with employers associated with job postings you apply to
- Employers are solely responsible for their hiring decisions and recruitment practices
- We do not guarantee employment, interviews, or responses from employers
You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide is truthful, accurate, and lawful.
Employers and Recruiters
If you are an employer or recruiter, you agree that:
- Applicant information will be used solely for legitimate recruitment and hiring purposes
- You will comply with all applicable employment, human rights, and privacy laws
- You will not misuse, sell, or improperly disclose applicant information
We reserve the right to remove job postings or suspend or terminate employer accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
User Content
By submitting content to the Service (including job postings, resumes, applications, or messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, limited, revocable license to use, display, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Intellectual Property
The Service and all original content, features, functionality, branding, and design are and will remain the exclusive property of First Nations Jobs Canada and its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
Links to Third-Party Websites
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us.
We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be liable for any damage or loss arising from your use of such websites or services.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service or your account at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
All provisions which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification obligations.
Disclaimer
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

- Your violation of these Terms
- Content you submit or actions you take through the Service
Indigenous Respect and Non-Discrimination
You agree not to post or engage in content or conduct that disrespects Indigenous peoples, cultures, or rights, or that violates applicable human rights or anti-discrimination laws.
This provision is intended to support a respectful, inclusive, and lawful employment environment.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and, where applicable, the laws of the Province of British Columbia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You agree that any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.
Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time.
If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice before the updated Terms take effect.
By continuing to use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
